Title: crime and punishment (part III)
Location: hurghada, egypt (sea level)
Text: 55 589 kilometres on the road

this morning, after two fruitless days of negotiations, the police finally gave mauro back his motorbike. it had taken another four hours.

serious crime must, of course, be treated harshly and since the state has to protect itself and its citizens, they have all the right to move mercilessly against dangerous tourrorists...

in the afternoon we did some long overdue servicing on the bikes. i adjusted the valves, changed the oil and managed to repair the charger of my GPS which had given up during the trip form luxor.

we spent our last diner for a while tired and disillusioned no wonder after spending several days in hurghada without ever really going to the beach. we both don't think too highly of this artificial tourist centre and are happy to leave soon; mauro tomorrow with the ferry and me the day after, back to luxor to meet my brother.
