walking is getting better by the day. but while i am enjoying the increasing freedom of movement i have to concentrate to walk straight and to stop limping.
during the time that my bones have grown together my friends who had helped me in gondar have all arrived back in europe. i received an email from nanda and dirk who have safely reached holland
and this week peter, with his 'camel-trophy' range rover, came to visit me as he passed through zurich.
unfortunately it was a typical rainy swiss spring day and we kept the scenic city walking tour to the minimum. but it was funny to meet him again here, far away from the dusty, stony roads of africa which he had left behind and to which i will return as soon as possible.
i have already booked a ticket back to nairobi for friday next week. can't wait to get back to africa!
(damm, when i look at these photos i realize how fat i have become!!! all that lying around and eating great food... it's time for some serious exercise again!)
