last night, before going to bed, we had a couple of beers with jonas. but we were all too tired to stay up late. i slept like a little baby.
this morning jonas came to our place around 09:00 and invited us for breakfast at his place. olli didnt feel well and stayed at the mission guesthouse.
todays tour through the city confirmed my first impression of a very beautiful town. there are wide avenues, many of which are lined with trees, the sidewalkes are broad and, for the first time in africa, there were many street cafes and outdoor restaurants in small parks.
from the riverside you have a great view on kinshasa, on the other side of the congo. its about five times bigger than brazzaville and already from here you can see its impressive skyline.
we were also introduced to laura, jonasEboss at the ICRC. she was very nice and she was happy to explain some about of the work they do, and some of the problems they are having, here in congo.
at night jonas, corina, jonas and i went out for a couple of beers at the bataclamE a popular open-air dance place on a terrace with a great view over the town.
