|Text:||this morning at the marked i met abdlullhay. he comes from chad and is one of the muslim shop owners in pokola. he was very nice and invited me for breakfast... and then showed me his shop where i bought a lot of provisions for the trip next week.
then, back at the auberge, i met jonas. he comes from brazzaville, studies public law and workes for the ICRC, the red cross. we talked for many hours about conflicts in africa and in other parts of the world. it was very interesting and i felt that i had just met a new friend. "you should join the red cross" he said "it's the perfect job for you with all the languages you speak!".
we exchanged phonenumbers and email and i promised him to call him as soon as i would arrive in brazzaville. he said that he would already look for a good place to stay and make a reservation for me.
todays lesson in lingala proved to be very useful and was applied immediately:
pesa moko molangi masanga = bring me one bottle of beer!
