| Text: | km 72'025 i went to the immigration office in the morning where i received yet another stamp in my passport. the stamp had it's price of course. "you are free now!" the officer told me with a smile, "enjoy your stay in pokola!". at lunch i met the captain of the 'sangha', the next boat which will leave for brazzaville. "we should be leaving on tuesday or wednesday" he said. "the trip will take about 5-6 days and there is enough space for you and your motorbike." sounds great! taking a boat on the congo has always been a dream of mine and now it seems to be coming true. with the boat leaving tuesday or wednesday there will also be enough time for the germans to arrive. i am looking forewards to this trip! some guys who are staying at the auberge invited me to a couple of beers. i had nothing better to do and gladly accepted the invitation. we had some interesting conversations and then everybody wanted me to lern lingala, the congolese language: dengue nini? = how are you? dengue malamou = i am fine! sounds nice, doesn't it? |
