i went to have lunch with sebastian and bright. we had fried fish with 'atzeke' and beer, or maybe you could turn it around and say beer with some food.
i looked up in surprise, when i heard bursts of gunfire very near by. but seb and bright just smiled and said: "it's nothing serious, the police at the nearby station have been firing into the air all morning long. they are unhappy about their salaries and about many other things".
it's quite funny how some guys are shooting off their guns in the middle of the town and nobody cares.
we spent the whole afternoon and evening together. i must say, i feel more and more at home, here in abidjan.
it's not such a bad place if you take a closer look. built on several islands in a lagoon, connected by bridges and dams. not exactly like new york, but still, it's a nice setting.
