linda, the woman i met last night, picked me up at the hotel around ten. we rented a taxi and she showed me around town. it's pretty badly destroyed, freetown is no comparison.
people are friendly here but it's not the same atmosphere as in sierra leone, there is a lot of tension.
in the afternoon she took me to the beach and, again, we had a good time. she tried to convince me, that the diamond business was a good business, much money to be made... or gold. her husband is lebanese and has all the connections, she told me, they just needed a partner overseas.
nice story, i thought, but played along and repeated that i was just a tourist.
i guess we both didn't know if, and who was fooling the other. just had a really good time.
at night we had diner at a lebanese restaurant, it was excellent.
