i left cape coast in the morning and took an easy ride to kakum national park, just 30 kilometers north.
its main attraction is a system of hanging bridges roughly 30 meters above the ground. from several platforms you can see right onto the lower canopy, while the high canopy is still high above you. the vegetation is so dense, that the ground is hardly ever visible.
at the parks restaurant i met a dutch couple that I had seen at the castle yesterday. we’re all going to do a three hours walk in the forrest tomorrow around 4:00. we hope to see more animals in the early morning hours than during the day.
i wasn’t surprised anymore when, in the evening, the red overland truck arrived at the park. they seem to follow me wherever I go… they cooked an excellent meal and invited me to eat with them.
