| Text: | km 54'113 this morning i felt fine, i had energy and my stomach seemed to be better. but i didn't dare to eat anything and gave my stomach a rest. i said bye to maxime and sidonie who will catch up with my in abidjan on sunday. sidonie will might even join me on a trip to bassam, the former capital of cote d'ivoire. the ride to abidjan was fine and i felt fine. i arrived at the 'coppa cabana' campsite, just outside abidjan. it was good to see andy and the germans again, we've been a great team, but the end is near. andy will go to mali and the germans will travel more quickly in order to keep up with their schedule and budget. andy is happy because he'd found a motorbike freak who will repair his bike. he's specalized in bmw, so i will have him service my bike too. the rubber of my backtire is now wearing down the basic layer. a few km more, and the fabrik will show. i called detlef, my friend in zurich. he has got a set of tires ready for me and is oly waiting for an adress to send them to. but i'll probably get some tires and save the shipping costs... until the new set of tyres is down to slick... |
